Dear Crete Elementary Families,
We have had a successful start to the second semester. I am so proud of how well the students returned from our break and were ready to get back to work. We are looking forward to a productive second semester.
We will hold our Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, February 24th, and Thursday, February 27th. Notes about the time and date of your conference will be sent home in Thursday folders. If you need to make a change, please call the office at 402-826-5822.
Parent-Teacher Conference Schedule:
Monday, February 24th: 6:00 - 8:30 PM
Thursday, February 27th: 8:00 - 11:00 AM, 12:30 - 3:30 PM, 5:00 - 8:00 PM
Valentine's Day Parties
This year, students can participate in a Valentine exchange. We kindly request that if your child chooses to participate, they bring non-food items to share with their classmates. This could include small cards, stickers, or other fun and age-appropriate tokens of friendship. It is also fine if the student wants to exchange the cards.
To facilitate this exchange, your child's teacher will send home a class list (first names only) prior to the Valentine's Day celebration. This will allow your child to address their Valentine's cards accurately and share in the fun of giving them.
The school will provide treats for all students during the Valentine's Day celebration. To ensure the safety of all students, we kindly request that no outside food treats be brought to share. Our school is committed to maintaining a healthy and allergy-conscious environment, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
CPS App and Rooms Information
Many of our teachers are using rooms to communicate information about what is happening in the classroom. We encourage you to download the CPS app and sign up for Rooms. You can find helpful information on our CPS website.
Infinite Campus Emergency Contacts
Please make sure your child's emergency contacts are updated on Infinite Campus. The directions can be found on the CPS website safety page. If you need help, contact the Crete Elementary office or the Welcome Center.
