Spring Testing

Over the next few weeks, we will administer the NSCAS (Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System) test to our students. I am excited for our students to show what they have learned throughout the school year. The testing will occur during their regular class time. It is important you know these dates, so you can best prepare your student. Please ensure your child is at school and on time.

ELA NSCAS: April 14th-16th

Math NSCAS: April 20th-23rd

Science NSCAS (8th grade only): April 22nd-24th

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call the school at (402) 826-5844.

Reminders

-There will be no school on April 3rd, 6th, and 7th for Easter Break.

-Spring Fling- Friday, April 17th, 6:00-9:00 (behavior and academic guidelines apply)

  • Infinite Campus Emergency Contacts

Please make sure your child's emergency contacts are updated on Infinite Campus. The directions can be found on the CPS website safety page. If you need help, contact the Crete Intermediate office or the Welcome Center.

  • CPS App and Rooms Information

Many of our teachers are using rooms to communicate information about what is happening in the classroom. We encourage you to download the CPS app and sign up for Rooms. You can find helpful information on our CPS website.

  • For your child’s safety, please do not drop your child off for school before 7:30 AM. Staff supervision begins at 7:30 AM.

  • As cold weather moves in, please make sure your child has warm clothing (coat, gloves, hat, and boots for when it snows). Our students will go outside for recess as much as possible during the winter months (even if it is shortened). The students deserve a much-needed break in the fresh air.

  • If you would like to nominate a CMS staff member who goes above and beyond, use this link, and they could be recognized by the district office.
